Agro Business

Agro Business is one of those untapped industries, with promising prospects, and which is considered as a viable sector viable for local investors in Jamaica. In particular, the agro business sector has room for expansion, especially since the tourism sector in Jamaica can and does provide opportunities for investors interested in the provision of fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as processed juices, and packaged vegetables.

The role of the Ministry is to work with the agro business sector to encourage growth so that realization of its full potential can be achieved. The Industry Division of the Ministry has responsibility for agro business.
