National Medal for Science & Technology
The award of a National Medal for Science and Technology represents a desire by the Government of Jamaica to fulfill its mandate of fostering the application of science and technology in the promotion of national development. The National Medal of Science and Technology reaffirms not only the Government’s commitment to science and technology, but also demonstrates to the people of Jamaica that Jamaican citizens who have worked assiduously, through ‘thick and thin’, to make their mark on national development, should be honoured for their contributions.
