Goods produced in a Free Zone area are primarily destined for export and as such, these goods are not permitted to be sold to the local/regional market. Should a company operating within a free zone wish to sell to the local market, special permission must first be obtained. Upon receipt of such approval, the relevant customs duties will become applicable.
Application for the transfer of goods from the Free Zone should be made to the Ministry, through the Industry Division.
