The tour was one of several activities being held in celebration of Eat Jamaican Month organised by the Jamaica Agricultural Society, RADA and the Ministry and included a talk to the students by Minister Hutchinson who emphasised the importance and benefits of eating locally grown produce. The minister also encouraged the school to incorporate more local ingredients in its Breakfast Programme.
