Industry Minister to Present Keynote Address at Caribbean Future Summit

Minister of Industry, Investment and Commerce, the Hon Audley Shaw, has been selected to present the keynote address at the 2nd Annual Caribbean Future Summit, a live virtual event hosted by education technology recruitment company, Global Startup Ecosystem (GSE), on Friday, November 5, 2021.
In his presentation to an audience of Caribbean investors, technology entrepreneurs, celebrities, politicians and business moguls, Minister Shaw will address the theme: From Diaspora Engagement to Investment – Connecting to the Caribbean’s Future Pillars- Tourism, Technology and Talent.
The Minister joins a distinguished list of former Summit speakers including Twitter founder, Jack Dorsey; former President of Haiti, Jovenel Moise; technology entrepreneur and investor Ben Horowitz; as well as Vice-Presidents and Chief Executive Officers of Google, Facebook and Uber.
The Global Startup Ecosystem hosts several global technology summits each year to help government and corporate initiatives achieve the 17 Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. Themes for recent events include “Her Future Summit” for female entrepreneurs held in March 2021, and a three-part Global Investment Summit focusing on the alternative capital available to entrepreneurs in the digital age in September 2021.
Now in its second year, the Caribbean Summit series pulls together public and private sector stakeholders across the Caribbean who are looking to leverage technology to tackle challenges affecting the Caribbean’s future.
Friday’s event is expected to attract more than 1,000 digital delegates from over 20 countries.
