MIIC’s Quality Policy Statement

The Ministry of Industry, Investment and Commerce (MIIC) is committed to providing our stakeholders with consistently high-quality service in the development and review of policies within MIIC while monitoring and evaluating the implementation of planned activities, towards the facilitation and promotion of industry, investment and commerce.

The MIIC will continually improve its business processes towards increasing Jamaica’s competitiveness, consistent with the National Quality Policy and in support of the National Development Plan – Vision 2030.

The MIIC will ensure that its services are delivered in accordance with the relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks and the appropriate standards and quality service required for business development and consumer welfare.

MIIC’s ISO 9001: 2015 QMS Scope Exclusion and Justification

(i) Exclusions: ISO 9001:2015 7.1.5.2. (Measurement Traceability)

(ii) Justification: MIIC does not utilize equipment or instruments which require calibration in the delivery of its planned activities.
