Hon. Audley Shaw, Minister of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries, views plantain chips produced by Gary Green of May Pen in Clarendon. Mr Green, who is a member of the Clarendon Youth in Business group, also produces coco chips and essential oils. The occasion was the Clarendon Agro-Economic Symposium held at the St. Gabriel’s Anglican Church Hall in May Pen on April 9, 2019. Organised by the Clarendon Municipal Corporation under the theme ‘Creating Effective Linkages… Unlocking Clarendon’s Agro Growth,’ the symposium was aimed at sensitizing farmers to the various economic opportunities available to them in the agricultural sector.
