MSME Digitalization Plan

The Ministry of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries” Digitization Plan was implemented in collaboration with Kolau, a partner of Google as well as with the Organization of American States (OAS). The aim is to have 25,000 MSMEs operating in the digital marketplace by 2022 at no cost to them.

But why digitize? Here are a few advantages…

  1. Cost effective: Digital marketing is a cost effective solution to reaching a large, yet targeted audience for business development
  2. Convenience: Online commercial transactions (e-commerce) offer greater convenience to customers than walk-in, brick and mortar stores. A purchase is just a click away on a vendor’s webpage.
  3. Global reach: A website allows an operator to be seen globally over the World Wide Web
  4. Trackable results: The results of online advertising can be tracked with web analytics and other online metric tools.

A world of opportunities await!  Let’s get started…

The Ministry

It's mandate is to lead the development of policies that will create growth and jobs, while achieving social inclusion and consumer protection. The Ministry, working its stakeholders is primarily responsible for business policy development, monitoring and evaluation, while giving direction and oversight to a cluster of implementing departments and agencies.
