Newly appointed Minister of Industry, Investment and Commerce (MIIC), Senator the Hon. Aubyn Hill (2nd right), in discussion with Acting CEO, Jamaica Special Economic Zone Authority (JSEZA), Gary Scott (right); President, JAMPRO, Diane Edwards (left); and Permanent Secretary, MIIC, Sancia Bennett-Templer, during a meeting at the Ministry’s New Kingston offices, on Thursday, February 3, 2022.

The meeting was held to discuss plans for the upcoming 8th Annual International Conference & Exhibition (AICE) 2022, under the theme “Zones 2022: Your Partner for Resilience, Prosperity and Sustainability”, to be hosted by the World Free Zones Organization in association with the Jamaica Special Economic Zones Authority, an agency of MIIC, at the Montego Bay Convention Centre from June 13-17.

Matters discussed at the meeting were logistics, programme of activities, site visits and the benefits of the conference for Jamaica.   

Other persons participating are Deputy Chairman, JSEZA & General Manager, Urban Development Corporation, Bobby Honeyghan; Senior Director, Corporate Services, JSEZA, Amorley Hibbert; Senior Director, Technical Services and Infrastructure, JSEZA, Sanvia Martin-Bailey; Senior Director, Business Partner and Support Services, JSEZA, Licia Grant; Manager, Logistics, Energy and Infrastructure, Don Gittens; Senior Advisor to the Minister, Christopher McPherson and Advisor to the Minister, Dimitri South.
