
Damian Clarke
Profile
Damian Clarke is an ICT infrastructure manager with over a decade of experience in ministerial government service.
He currently holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computing with Management Studies (Data Communications Major) and Master’s of Science degree in Information Systems Management as an IT Project Management Major.
Mr. Clarke worked at the Westmoreland Municipal Authority (then Westmoreland Parish Council) for 12 years; joining the Council shortly after completing studies at The Manning’s School.
Prior to this role at Ministry of Industry, Investment and Commerce, Mr. Clarke was appointed in the Ministry of Local Government and Community Development ICT unit in 2012 honing his skills as a User Support Officer and Network Analyst, where he provided ICT support the Municipal Corporations across Jamaica. In February of 2019, he joined the Cannabis Licensing Authority, becoming their first Director of Information Technology and Business Services and served for four years.
Since being at the MIIC, Mr. Clarke has implemented several projects to transform and modernise the ministry’s operations, including those of some of the ministry’s portfolio entities.
