Agriculture Ministry set to launch International Year of Plant Health

In keeping with the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) declaration of 2020 as the United Nations’ International Year of Plant Health (IYPH), the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries (MICAF) will launch local activities on January 22 at the Hope Botanical Gardens. Government prioritizing 20 per cent procurement spend for small businesses

Government is placing priority on ensuring that Jamaica’s small businesses will benefit from 20 per cent share of the Government’s procurement spend this year. Agricultural transformation coming for St. Catherine
