The inaugural South West Primary School Debate Competition, organised by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries and the Social Development Commission (SDC), got under way on Thursday (January 23) at the Black River Parish Library. Local Film Industry Contributes $2.5 Billion To GDP

Film Commissioner at Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO), Renée Robinson, says the local film industry contributed $2.5 billion to the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) during the 2018/19 fiscal year. BSJ Gets Money From NHT To Develop Bamboo Houses

The Bureau of Standards Jamaica (BSJ) will shortly commence the development of affordable houses utilising bamboo, from a $54-million donation by the National Housing Trust (NHT).
