Samuda pledges $80 million to support coffee farmers

Minister of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries, Hon. Karl Samuda, has pledged continued support to coffee farmers in Jamaica, in an effort to see the sector grow. The Minister disclosed that, the Government, through the Ministry, will be allocating J$80 million from the Productivity Incentive Programme for coffee farmers towards the purchase of inputs such as fertilizers and fungicides, in order to increase their level of productivity. Samuda pledges continued partnership with Britain

The Ministry, working its stakeholders is primarily responsible for business policy development, monitoring and evaluation, while giving direction and oversight to a cluster of implementing departments and agencies.
