Hon Audley Shaw (left), Minister of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries, listens attentively as Joseph Carr, former sugar cane worker explains challenges he is having at a meeting with former sugar cane workers and stakeholders in Golden Grove, St. Thomas on January 24. Minister Shaw disclosed at the meeting that Government would be providing $200-million in assistance to former workers to include land, land preparation, seeds and fertilizer for the cultivation of alternative crops.
