The Ghana National Lottery Authority (NLA) has strengthened its push for international collaboration following a high-level working visit to Supreme Ventures Limited (SVL), one of Jamaica’s leading gaming and entertainment companies.
The delegation included Board Chairman and Technical Advisor to the Minister of Finance, Frederick Amissah, Acting Director General Mohammed Abdul Salam, and Board Member Nana Obrempong Ameyaw Amponsem. The visit was facilitated by SVL as part of efforts to expand business cooperation between Ghana and Jamaica’s lottery sectors.
The team was hosted by Minister of State in the Ministry of Industry, Investment and Commerce Delano Seiveright along with SVL’s leadership. Discussions centred on business-to-business partnerships, market expansion, digital innovation, and investment-led growth, with both sides exploring opportunities aimed at sustainable development and mutual benefit.

Minister Seiveright described it as an honour to meet officials of the Ghana National Lottery Authority and said discussions were detailed and forward-looking. He expressed strong interest in strengthening the Jamaica–Ghana connection and commended SVL’s continued involvement in Ghana’s lottery industry.
Board Chairman Frederick Amissah thanked SVL for facilitating the visit and stressed the importance of deepening bilateral ties. He said the engagement could help take the Ghana–Jamaica relationship a step further through historic and commercial linkages that advance both nations.
The visit forms part of the NLA’s broader strategy to build international relationships that allow lottery companies and service providers to operate beyond Ghana’s borders while benefiting from knowledge exchange and best practices in operations, technology and regulation.

The engagement builds on an already established relationship in Ghana’s gaming sector. SVL serves as technical service provider to Game Park Limited, a licensed lottery operator in Ghana. Through that partnership, SVL provides technology and management support, including its GLI-certified proprietary software used to power games such as Pick 1 and Pick 4.
Game Park Limited received its licence from the NLA’s Governing Board in April 2023 and later commissioned the Black Star Studio draw facility after completing the operational requirements under its licensing agreement. The partnership has been promoted as an example of international collaboration, with a focus on transparency, integrity, and high operating standards in draw processes.
SVL, listed on the Jamaica Stock Exchange since 2006, has operated lottery and gaming products in Jamaica and the wider Caribbean for more than two decades and is recognised for exporting technical expertise and operational systems into African markets.
While the current visit focused on strengthening institutional ties and exploring new areas of cooperation, it also continues a series of engagements between the NLA and Jamaica’s lottery industry. A previous delegation led by former Director General Samuel Awuku visited Jamaica in 2022 for a study tour of SVL’s operations and meetings with regulators and senior officials.
Those ongoing exchanges have laid the groundwork for deeper collaboration, with both countries sharing historical and cultural links and seeking to expand trade and investment across sectors. However, discussions between the NLA and Jamaican partners are still at the engagement and cooperation stage, with the emphasis on partnership development, knowledge transfer and future opportunities.
The NLA, which holds the legal lottery monopoly in Ghana under the National Lotto Act, 2006, said such international partnerships are key to innovation, investment attraction and long-term growth in the sector.
