Hon Audley Shaw ( left), Minister of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries, views solar panels at the Bengal Pump Station in Trelawny along with Joseph Gyles (centre), Chief Executive Officer, and Emile Myers, Energy Engineer, both of the National Irrigation Commission. The 320 panel solar-powered pump station was commissioned on January 23, 2020 and will satisfy 75% of the energy requirements for the pump station, providing more cost-effective water for farmers.
