The Jamaica Business Development Corporation (JBDC), in partnership with Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ), will host a two-day workshop from January 31 to February 1, 2024 to assist businesses with filing their taxes.
Dubbed ‘Tax Talk’, the workshops will be held via the Zoom platform, starting at 10:00 a.m. daily.
To be conducted by Tax Education Officers, the workshops will expose business owners within the micro, small and medium-sized enterprise (MSME) sector to training and much-needed information on how to meet their filing obligations.
Day 1 of the workshop will be for persons whose businesses are registered as a Sole Trader, while Day 2 will be for those businesses registered as a Company Limited.
Over the two days, attendees will not only be provided with information on how to file for their specific business ventures but they will have the opportunity to engage with a Tax Education Officer, asking various questions for clarity.
Participation in the sessions is free.
Persons interested in attending the sessions are being asked to submit an email to workshops@jbdc.net no later than today, January 30, 2024.
The JBDC is Jamaica’s premier business development organisation working collaboratively with government, private sector, as well as academic, research and international communities.
