Jewellery Enthusiasts Reminded to Register for JBDC Workshop

Jewellery enthusiasts are being reminded to register for the upcoming Jamaica Business Development Corporation (JBDC) four-day workshop, ‘The Perfect Finish: Metal Meets Wood’, before the October 2 deadline.
To be held every Saturday in October at the JBDC Incubator & Resource Centre, this immersive workshop will delve into advanced jewellery-making techniques, with a special focus on seamlessly combining metal and wood.
Each session will run from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., offering a unique opportunity for participants to hone their skills under the guidance of renowned jewellery artisans Valentine McLean and Donna-Gay Uter.

The registration fee of $33,500.00 must be paid by October 2 to guarantee participation.
In addition to live demonstrations from the expert trainers, attendees will gain valuable hands-on experience with key techniques, such as metal melting, hammering, and milling.
They will also explore the art of integrating sterling silver and wood, producing distinctive and innovative jewellery designs.
