Hutchinson (right), Minister without Portfolio in the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries, in discussion with a Cuban delegation, headed by Her Excellency Inés Fors Fernández (left), Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba; at a meeting held at the Ministry’s Hope Gardens’ offices in Kingston on May 2. The meeting discussed the possibility of purchasing agricultural implements such as ploughs and harrows, greenhouses and windmills from Cuba as well as Jamaica providing assistance to the Cuban government with new varieties of sugar cane in order to boost the performance of their sugar cane industry.
