Minister J.C. Hutchinson views cassava harvested from the Holland Primary School Garden

Hutchinson (centre), Minister without Portfolio in the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries, views cassava harvested from the Holland Primary School Garden in St. Elizabeth during an Eat Jamaican School Tour on November 15, 2019. Others from left are Rural Agricultural Development Authority Parish Agricultural Manager, Nathan Samuels, and Simone Doctor, Principal. The tour was one of several activities being held in celebration of Eat Jamaican Month organised by the Jamaica Agricultural Society, RADA and the Ministry and included a talk to the students by Minister Hutchinson who emphasised the importance and benefits of eating locally grown produce. The minister also encouraged the school to incorporate more local ingredients in its Breakfast Programme.
