Audley Shaw, speaking at the signing of a virtual Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Ceremony for Caricom Manufacturers Association, at the Ministry’s New Kingston offices on Wednesday, November 25, 2020. The purpose of the MoU is to establish the principles and basis for increased cooperation among the Manufacturing Associations in the region. Participants included the Jamaica Manufacturers Association; Manufacturers Associations of Barbados, Dominica, Guyana, St. Lucia; and Trinidad and Tobago. Other ministers in attendance are Minister of Foreign Trade (Barbados), Hon. Sandra Husbands; Minister of Tourism, Trade and Commerce (Guyana); Hon. Oneidge Waldron; Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade (Jamaica), Hon. Kamina Johnson-Smith; Minister of Trade and Industry (Trinidad and Tobago), Hon Gopee- Scoon, along with Dr. Patrick Antoine of the CARICOM Private Sector Organisation; Ambassador of the Trade Negotiations, Gail Mathurin; and Dr. Damie Sinanan of the Caribbean Export Development Agency.
