
Nerine Belnavis-Waite
Nerine Belnavis-Waite is a seasoned Human Resource professional with more than two decades of progressive experience spanning strategic human resource management, organizational development, and industrial relations. She currently serves as Director of Human Resource Management and Development at the Ministry of Industry, Investment and Commerce, where she leads strategic and operational HR functions, provides guidance to senior leadership, and drives change management initiatives across the Ministry and its agencies.
Mrs. Belnavis-Waite has built an extensive career in the public service, holding senior leadership roles at the Registrar General’s Department, Southern Regional Health Authority, and Southeast Regional Health Authority. Her responsibilities have included overseeing recruitment and selection, performance management, employee relations, training and development, and pension administration. She has also represented organizations on pension fund boards of trustees and chaired several HR advisory and steering committees.
Her academic background includes a Master of Business Administration (Human Resource Management) from the Mona School of Business and Management, a Bachelor of Science in Management and Psychology from the University of the West Indies, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education and Training. She has also completed specialized certifications in change management, industrial relations, succession planning, and performance management.
