Newly appointed Minister Hon. Aubyn Hill meets with MIIC staff at First General Meeting

Minister of Industry, Investment and Commerce (MIIC), Senator the Hon. Aubyn Hill, addresses divisional heads and staff at the first general staff meeting, at the Ministry’s New Kingston offices, on Tuesday, January 19, 2022.
Minister Hill charged the divisional heads and staff to partner with him to serve people, investors and businesses differently by ensuring that MIIC does everything possible to implement the Government’s mandate to facilitate, encourage and enable entrepreneurs and businesses to grow their enterprises, and create new jobs for many more Jamaicans.

Others seated with Minister Hill (from left) are Permanent Secretary, Sancia Bennett-Templer; Advisor to the Hon. Minister, Bobby Honeyghan; and Chief Technical Director, Michelle Parkins.

Minister of State, the Hon. Dr. Norman Dunn, joined the meeting virtually and gave remarks. Among others joining virtually were ISO Ambassador, ISO Quality Systems Division, Reginald Budhan; and Driver, Office Services Unit, Anthony Simpson, who also made comments.

Others joining the meeting face to face were Director, Commerce Division, Clifford Spencer; Advisors to the Hon. Ministers, Christopher McPherson & Dimitri South; Acting Director, Trade Unit, Martin Philips; Director, Investment Unit, Omar Chedda, Acting Director, Communications & PR Unit, Ellis Laing; Principal Director, MSME Division, Oral Shaw; Senior Director, ISO Quality Systems Division, Dr. Grace-Ann Biggs Allen; Director, Chief Audit Executive, Internal Audit Unit, Margaret James-Freeman; Senior Director, Corporate Services Division, Juliet Salmon Rhoomes; Principal Finance Officer, Finance and Accounts Unit, Carlene Colville.
