Samuda wants young people to be involved in Irish potato production

Minister of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries, Hon Karl Samuda, has said that in order to achieve the goal of 100% self-sufficiency in Irish potato production the Government will be calling on young people to assist with the planting of seedlings on an additional 300 acres of land that will be brought into production. Corned Beef Ban to Remain in Place Pending Outcome of Tests

The Minister of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries, Hon. Karl Samuda has announced that the ban on the importation of corned beef originating in Brazil will remain in place until relevant tests have been completed. Minister Samuda added that no permission will be given for the sale or distribution of corned beef from Brazil until the government gets adequate assurance that the products are safe for consumption. Industrial Starch Market Poised for Growth
