COJ Mobile Returns to Trelawny, St. Ann

As part of its drive to facilitate compliance, the Companies Office of Jamaica Business Mobile will be visiting the parishes of Trelawny and St. Ann from July 26-30, 2021 to facilitate mandatory document filings and registrations of entities. Persons attending the Business Mobile will be able to register their businesses, incorporate companies, and file annual returns and other change documents. Minister of Industry, Investment and Commerce, the Hon. Audley Shaw and the Minister of State, the Hon. Dr. Norman Dunn, welcome the new president of the Jamaica Manufacturers and Exporters Association (JMEA), Mr. John Mahfood. Mr. Mahfood was installed as the new President of the JMEA yesterday at the entity’s annual general meeting. Mr. Mahfood is the Chief Executive Officer of Jamaican Teas Limited (JTL) and is a Certified Public Accountant and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Jamaica. The Ministry of Industry, Investment and Commerce is described as Jamaica's "Business Ministry." It's mandate is to lead the development of policies that will create growth and jobs, while achieving social inclusion and consumer protection. The Ministry, working its stakeholders is primarily responsible for business policy development, monitoring and evaluation, while giving direction and oversight to a cluster of implementing departments and agencies.
