Minister of Industry, Investment and Commerce, Hon. Audley Shaw, made a presentation at the virtual Caribbean Council Investor Roundtable meeting hosted by the Caribbean Council in London under Chatham House Rules, on Thursday, October 28, 2021.
The Caribbean Council is a London-based membership organisation, which works with companies which are investing in, and doing business with, the Caribbean and Central America. Their members include some of the most significant investors in the Caribbean.
Minister Shaw's address focused on a range of investment which enable opportunities in Jamaica including its business- friendly environment, robust telecommunications and modern road and network infrastructure et al.
Minister of Finance and the Public Service, Hon. Nigel Clarke, among others, also gave remarks.

THE Trade Marks (Amendment) Act, 2021 (“the Act”) was enacted in June 2021. The Act is meant to, among other things, bring the Madrid Protocol into effect in Jamaica.
