Scammers under pressure Steps being taken to address problems in BPO sector

JAMAICA is expected to roll out soon, measures to address the issue of scamming within the business process outsourcing (BPO) sector. "The policymaking people are working. There are two or three security companies in Jamaica who are taking an initiative. Industry Ministry and IDB launch MSME Business Roadshow

The Ministry of Industry, Investment and Commerce is looking to strengthen engagement with the local micro, small and medium sized enterprises. Minister of Industry, Investment and Commerce, Senator Aubyn Hill hopes the gap between the Ministry and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, MSME’s can be bridged by the MSME Business Roadshow. The roadshow, hosted by the ministry as well as the Inter-American Development Bank, IDB, will provide business development services for MSME’s in Jamaica. IDB champions MSMEs to lead economic growth

The Inter-American Development Bank's (IDB) top Caribbean executive Tariq Alli said that the hemispheric bank is championing the growth of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) to drive the sustained economic growth of Jamaica.
