The Ministry of Industry, Investment and Commerce is inviting applications from suitably qualified officers to fill the following vacant position in the Corporate Services Division (Human Resource Management and Development Branch). Manager, Employee Relations (GMG/SEG 2) - Basic Salary range: $3,770,761 - $5,071,254 per annum
The implementation Coordinator is expected to guide the execution of the strategies in the Implementation Plan for the National Quality Policy (NQP) towards achieving the desired results. The Coordinator will also provide critical insight of the field of quality internationally, the national quality perspectives and dynamics as well as an understanding of the intent and impact of Quality on boosting exports and creating jobs. Remuneration: $7,868,004 per annum
The Ministry of Industry, Investment and Commerce is inviting applications from suitably qualified officers to fill the post of Director, Communications and Public Relations (MCG/IE6) in the Corporate Services Division (Corporate Communications Branch). Basic Salary range: $5,597,715 - $7,528,305 per annum.
The Ministry of Industry, Investment and Commerce is inviting applications from suitably qualified persons to apply for the post of Communication and Public Relations Specialist (Contract). Remuneration: $6,326,820.00
Background and Justification: Over the last few decades, while the manufacturing sector has grown, its contribution to global GDP has seen some decline. Global players have been progressively repositioning the industry as part of efforts to remain competitive, particularly through increased innovation and value chain development. Jamaica’s Manufacturing Sector has been one of the country’s longstanding contributors to its economic development. Its impact on job creation, capital investment, and GDP as well as linkages among the various other productive sectors of the country is well recorded and established, but its contribution to GDP has decreased in recent years.
