Members of the public are being urged to consider the use of alternative means of sanitization in light of the threat of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). JAMPRO Surpasses Investment Targets-Green

Minister of State in the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries, Hon. Floyd Green, says targets set by the Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO) last year in a number of areas of investments have been surpassed. “Last year, our target in relation to how much US capital investment we would raise from JAMPRO was set at $625million and we did better than the target and brought in $646.5 million,” he said. Minister Green Lauds the Success of the Pre-Shipment Inspection Process

Floyd Green has lauded the Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) process for used vehicles entering the country which was implemented in February 2018. According to the Minister, vehicle inspections have doubled since the implementation of the PSI programme. “During the period January to July 2018, approximately 15,000 inspections were conducted while some 25,000 inspections were done in the corresponding period for 2019.
