Discussions are under way for the establishment of a Home Grown School Feeding Programme in Jamaica. This was disclosed by the Hon. Audley Shaw, Minister of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries, who stated that during discussions at the recently held FAO meeting in Rome, the FAO had expressed an interest in sending a representative to Jamaica to assist in creating a model school-feeding programme. Hutchinson, has reiterated his call for the removal of GCT on imported seeds and refrigerated trucks.
