Growth on the horizon for Carib Cement

Minister of Industry, Investment and Commerce (MIIC), the Honourable Audley Shaw recently convened a meeting at MIIC’s St. Lucia Avenue Head Office, with the team from Caribbean Cement Company Limited (CCCL) and their parent company Trinidad Cement Limited Group (TCL).
The agenda of the meeting was two-fold: to introduce the new CEO of the parent company for the TCL Group, Managing Director and New Regional President for the Caribbean, Central & South America, Mr. Francisco Aguilera and to discuss plans for expansion in 2021.
In 2020 Carib Cement Company Limited produced 950,000 metric tonnes of cement; there are projections for in excess of 1 million metric tonnes for 2021. Minister Shaw welcomed the announcement and commended the team for their contribution to the economy.
In attendance were the Minister of State the Honourable Dr. Norman Dunn, Permanent Secretary, Sancia Bennett-Templer, MIIC; Managing Director, Carib Cement Company Limited (CCCL), Mr. Francisco Aguilera; Managing Director, Carib Cement Company Limited (CCCL), Mr. Yago Castro, and Stakeholder Relations Manager, Carib Cement Company Limited (CCCL) Mr. Balfour Denniston.
