Minister Shaw discusses honey bee with Reach Academy students

Minister of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries (MICAF), Hon. Audley Shaw and Chief Plant Protection Officer, Apiculture Unit, MICAF, Hugh Smith, meet with students of Reach Academy, at the Ministry’s New Kingston offices on Wednesday, May 15, 2019. The students of Reach Academy met with Minister Shaw to discuss how the government plans to save honey bees from extinction in Jamaica. Minister Shaw informed the children that they can increase the bee population by planting more trees and flowers. Reach Academy held their 7th Science Fair under the theme ‘We can Make a difference’, on May 21.
