Samuda heads to 45th Meeting of the Council for Trade and Economic Development

Minister of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries, Hon. Karl Samuda is to depart the island on Wednesday, November 8 to attend the 45th meeting of the Council for Trade and Economic Development (COTED) in Georgetown, Guyana.
Minister Samuda will join counterpart Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Ministers at the two day meeting from November 9-10 to consider and take decisions on regional trade and economic agenda items.
The Council will discuss future trade with the United Kingdom post Brexit and the free movement of persons in keeping with provisions of the Revised Treaty and Decisions of the COTED among other things.
Minister Samuda will lead a delegation comprising trade representatives from the Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Ministry, as well as the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries.
He will return to the island on Saturday, November 11.
